What Should You Do Right Now?

4/21/2026

Recently, I’ve seen many new real estate agents starting their careers in Georgia, and as someone with more experience, there’s something I truly want to share.

Just as we don’t make quick decisions when buying a car, choosing a home—where we will live—is an even more important and careful decision.

For clients, deciding “which agent to work with” is not easy.
Naturally, this makes the market even more challenging for new agents.

At our company, we currently have three new agents.
Two are in their first year, and one just started three months ago.
Each of them had different reasons for starting—some wanted independence, some simply loved looking at homes, and others had financial motivations.

However, having a reason to start does not guarantee success.

While we work in buying and selling homes, what we truly do is people-centered sales.
And building relationships with people never happens quickly.
Relationships are not something that can be completed instantly.

In the end, there is only one thing we can do:
give our best in every single interaction.
We never know when or how a brief encounter today may come back in the future.

I obtained my real estate license in October 2013.
At that time, I thought, “Once I get my license, I’ll start selling homes right away.”
But reality was very different.

Without experience or results, who would trust me to sell their home or help them buy one?

Back then, opportunities were even more limited, as platforms like YouTube and social media were not as active as they are today.

So I gave 120% effort to every single client.
Even with rental clients, I did not think, “They might buy a home later.”
I simply focused on doing my best in that moment.

Day by day, I built my experience—and it took about 13 years to become who I am today.

To all new agents who may be struggling right now, I want to say this:
It may sound obvious, even cliché, but live each day without regret.
Be grateful for every client you meet, and always do your best in any situation.

Today, we live in an era where you can promote yourself through social media.
There are far more opportunities than before.

So focus on the present moment and give it your all.
We are not just selling homes—we are selling ourselves.

If you never forget that, results will follow.
I hope today becomes one of the best and most fulfilling days of your life.
